Overview

Dr. Scott Salomone is passionate about reducing stigma around mental health. He understands there are many factors influencing one’s ability and willingness to seek help and aims to create a welcoming space for all to explore their mental wellness. He finds joy in the meaningful connections he builds with patients as he helps them through their mental health journey. Dr. Salomone strives to understand the underlying complexities of mental health disorders as well as the medications and modalities used to treat them. He has an appreciation for ways the mind and body work together in positive, and sometimes self-defeating, ways.

As an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, Dr. Salomone is dedicated to providing evidence-based, individualized, and compassionate care to patients of all identities and backgrounds. He is enthusiastic about the benefits of psychedelic treatments for mental health and proudly offers ketamine-assisted therapy, Spravato (esketamine), TMS, and more. He has trained in several therapy approaches including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), CBT for insomnia, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), emotionally-focused, and mentalization-based.

Dr. Salomone earned his medical degree at St. Louis University, where he also completed his undergraduate. He completed a Psychiatry Residency with distinction in Spanish Language & Healthcare Disparities at the University of Arizona, where he also served as Chief Resident of Outpatient Psychiatry. While there, he gained experience treating a broad variety of mental health conditions in outpatient medication management/therapy, inpatient hospitalization, consult/liaison for hospital and ED, acute stabilization units, detox/rehabilitation services, and specialized treatment centers. Dr. Salomone is also fluent in Spanish.
